When your brain says make cookies because they’re quicker than brownies, and require less work. But your heart says actually, make brownies, cause that’s what you truly want. Therefore, brookies, for when your head and your heart aren’t aligning and you wanna please both inner voices…..
I swear, my love is always for the classics, the cookies and brownies of the world. You can’t really go wrong with them, and everyone likes them – crowd faves, perhaps!
But brookies? I don’t necessarily think of these as a classic, but when the things that make up brookies are a classic, doesn’t that make the final product, the sum of its parts, also a classic?
This is getting too philosophical, let’s just cut to the damn chase. Brookies. Here we go, they’re so damn good.
As a preface, the ingredients for this recipe are broken down between the cookie part, and then the brownie part, and then the instructions will detail how to prepare both the cookie and then the brownie parts. I promise it’s not hard, it’s just making both brownies and cookies and putting them together which looks like more steps. 🙂
