Once upon a time I had a consistent love affair with Betty Crocker. Every time my family had friends, neighbors, or family over, we’d make the Betty Crocker Fudge Brownie mix. And every time we went over to friends’ houses for a cookout, block party or anything in between, we’d also bring these brownies. When I tell you we SWORE by this mix, I mean we literally swore by it. If we were ever out of a box of this mix, we had a problem.
Lemme tell ya, though, those days are gone. Long gone? Not really. But gone for good? Absolutely. Since developing this brownie recipe recently, I haven’t looked back for one second.
But let’s address something – I don’t typically eat dairy! These bad boys are made with REAL BUTTER (gasp!). But yes, as of right now, I actively avoid dairy where possible since it seems to make my skin break out. But I make occasional exceptions for things I enjoy, and things that make me happy, as we all should! Unless, of course, you have an allergy. 🙂 The exceptions I make for dairy are only the best of the best — Graeter’s ice cream (if you know, you know…Cincy native!), Jeni’s ice cream (to die for), and these fudgy Oreo brownies…. once you make ’em, you truly cannot stop. SOS.
So let’s do it, shall we? I DAIRY you to make these… yes, I love puns.
My absolute favorite way to indulge in these brownies is with a cold glass of almond milk, extra chocolate, or even with some ice cream! Hope you love this recipe and can’t wait to hear how you enjoyed them. 🙂
If you made this recipe, I’d love to see it! Let me know in the comments or tag me on IG at @simply_unbeetable 🙂
