Last weekend my family & I went to the farmers market since it was the last weekend here in Chicago that my neighborhood farmers market was open… SO sad. But, that meant we were in for a final stock up of some of our faves, including flowers (for the new apartment, of course), sea salt chocolate chunk cookies (IYKYK), fresh bread, candied almonds, and *drumrolllllll* apples!
Apples are a seasonal fave of mine, as they are so many other peoples, and I wanted to get one last apple baked good in — before Thanksgiving apple pie, that is. 🙂 Thus, these glazed apple bars were born…. fluffy like muffins, filled with sweet baked apples, topped with a pecan crumble, and topped off with a simple sweet glaze.
P.S. Have I mentioned before that I love crumbles?!? Ha. Maybe one day I’ll stop… but today is not that day.
