Oatmeal Chocolate Chip Cookie Smoothie

It’s no secret, I love my desserts, especially ones that include chocolate. And although it may seem that way at times from my Instagram feed, I definitely enjoy a wider variety of foods. πŸ™‚ While I would love to indulge in a batch of cookies at every meal, I don’t think that would do me well in the long run.

Butttt, with this smoothie, you can enjoy cookies for breakfast as much as you’s like! Similar to many others, I do not believe in food rules, or labelling foods, unless we’re labelling them as damn delicious. Rather, I believe in a well rounded diet, which can include both cookies for breakfast and/or a cookie flavored smoothie for breakfast (that actually includes many nourishing, filling, and energizing ingredients) – that’s a 10/10 from me!

In actuality, most (if not all) mornings during the workweek I have a smoothie for breakfast. There are so many ways to customize them, they’re quick, and they’re SO satisfying to me! This smoothie is one of my go-to’s, and one that I have at least once or twice a week, in regular rotation with both my mint chocolate chip smoothies and chocolate smoothies.

Grab the recipe below and enjoy a cookie for breakfast!

Servings

servings

Ingredients

  • 1 Frozen Banana

  • 2/3 cup Frozen Cauliflower Rice

  • 1 Tbsp Rolled Oats

  • 1 Tbsp Cacao Nibs (feel free to use chocolate chips here instead!)

  • 1/2 tsp Vanilla Extract

  • 1 Tbsp Almond Butter

  • 1 Medjool Date (make sure to pit your date if it is not pre-pitted)

  • 1 scoop Unflavored Collagen or Protein Powder

  • 3/4 cup Almond Milk (sub any milk you prefer)

Directions

  • Add all ingredients to a blender.
  • Blend until everything is well incorporated and smoothie is creamy, about 30-60 seconds. Add more milk if the smoothie is thicker than you like.
  • Pour into a cup or glass and enjoy!

I live and die by breakfast food, coffee, peanut butter, and dessert. It's pretty much my blood type at this point.
